Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP) THERAPY

PRP IN AESTHETICS
PRP is widely used in aesthetics, where the natural components of your own body are harnessed to promote skin rejuvenation. By stimulating collagen , elastin and cellular growth, as well as by improving local blood supply and hydration, your skin texture, and tone, should gradually improve and lead to a younger looking skin.

HOW DOES PRP WORK?
We use Cellenis PRPTM system where a small sample of blood is taken from your arm exactly like having a routine blood test at your doctor’s. The blood is centrifuged, and ten minutes later, the PRP has been separated from the whole blood and is ready for use. Once on site, the growth factors and other regenerative molecules are released leading to collagen and elastin formation, as well as cellular growth and skin remodelling, resulting in long-lasting skin rejuvenation.

WHAT WILL I FEEL RIGHT AFTER THE TREATMENT?
The sensations vary between each person and treatment.  Since PRP is autologous (i.e. it comes from your own blood) adverse reactions are rare.

You may experience slight redness, swelling, mild bruising and pain but these reactions usually pass in a day or two.

WHAT IS PLATELET RICH PLASMA?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is the latest medical treatment to cross over into the world of aesthetics.

Long established as a treatment for healing wounds, PRP has also been adopted by sports medicine (Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant are both reported recipients) and orthopaedic specialities.

Today PRP has found a home in aesthetics. Your own unique growth factors are used to rejuvenate your skin, by “healing” damaged or aging skin , and to encourage hair follicles to continue producing new hair.

Cellenis PRP is safe and effective, versatile, non-allergenic, and offers virtually no downtime or side effects.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is plasma from your own blood which contains concentrated platelets.

REGENERATIVE EFFECT OF PRP

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an innovative and promising approach in regenerative medicine. PRP is the concentration of your own body’s platelets in a small amount of plasma. This self-derived product possesses immense capabilities in terms of tissue regeneration.

Clinical data shows that PRP promotes tissue healing by releasing a large amount of growth factors from the platelets into the treated area.

Each growth factor has a unique role in stimulating biochemical pathways that promote skin repair. Together, they create a synergistic effect for maximal regenerative results.

Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) Creates cell growth, collagen synthesis, contributing to skin tightness
Transforming Growth Factors (TGF) Stimulates collagen secretion and cell growth
Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) Stimulates epithelial cell growth and differentiation
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) Stimulates development of new blood vessels to improve skin nourishment
Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) Promotes skin cell growth, collagen secretion and tissue remodelling
